ADNOC and Masdar Collaborate with Microsoft to Drive AI Deployment and Low-Carbon Solutions

ADNOC and Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) announced the signing of a Strategic Collaboration Agreement with Microsoft on a range of artificial intelligence (AI) and low-carbon initiatives in the UAE and globally aimed at decarbonizing the energy system of today and enabling a sustainable energy system for the future.

ADNOC announced the acquisition of a 11.7% stake in Phase 1 of NextDecade Corporation’s Rio Grande LNG, a leading liquefied natural gas (LNG) export project located in Texas, United States, which is expected to produce a less carbon-intensive LNG. Additionally, ADNOC and NextDecade announced that they have entered into a 20-year LNG offtake agreement from RGLNG Train 4.

ADNOC announced it has taken a 10.1% equity stake in Storegga to become a lead investor in the UK-based company that focuses on the development of global carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects. 

ADNOC and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) announced the signing of a strategic collaboration agreement (SCA) that sets out their intention to collaborate on the potential development of low carbon energy technologies.
