Net Zero Teesside Power and the Northern Endurance Partnership have selected contractors for engineering, procurement, and construction contracts with a combined value of around £4bn.
Net Zero Teesside Power, which aims to be one of the world’s first commercial scale gas-fired power stations with carbon capture, has received development consent from UK Government. Development consent includes onshore CO2 gathering and transport infrastructure operated by the Northern Endurance Partnership.
The preparatory work by Teesworks is now underway following a ground-breaking event and a recent signing of an option-for-lease agreement between Net Zero Teesside Power partners bp and Equinor, and Teesworks.
