The Petrofac Consulting team in Woking, UK has strengthened its position in supporting the Netherlands’ ambitions for CO2 capture and storage with an award from TotalEnergies EP Nederland BV of multi-million-dollar front-end-engineering design for a CO2 injection platform.

Petrofac has begun a multi-million-dollar front-end-engineering design (FEED) for the Netherlands’ flagship carbon transport and storage (CCS) system, Aramis. The development marks a significant step towards achieving the European Union’s decarbonisation targets announced in the European Green Deal and the Dutch Climate Agreement.

Petrofac has been awarded an Engineering, Procurement and Construction contract by ADNOC Gas for its Habshan CCUS project, one of the largest carbon capture projects in the Middle East and North Africa region.
