Vantaa Energy recently announced that its project has taken a step forward, with the commencement of environmental impact assessment, zoning, permitting, commercial negotiations and partner procurement phases. Petrofac delivered concept engineering for the project in 2023, engaging with seven potential storage service providers, onshore and offshore, to help Vantaa Energy identify the optimum solution.

Petrofac has begun a multi-million-dollar front-end-engineering design (FEED) for the Netherlands’ flagship carbon transport and storage (CCS) system, Aramis. The development marks a significant step towards achieving the European Union’s decarbonisation targets announced in the European Green Deal and the Dutch Climate Agreement.

Petrofac has been awarded an Engineering, Procurement and Construction contract by ADNOC Gas for its Habshan CCUS project, one of the largest carbon capture projects in the Middle East and North Africa region.
