Spiritus announced the filing of a Class VI permit application with the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality for its Orchard One project. This milestone paves the way for what could become the world’s largest Direct Air Capture (DAC) facility, designed to remove 2 million tons of CO2 annually from the atmosphere, with first-phase operations beginning by 2026 at a fraction of current industry costs.
Spiritus, the climate tech company pioneering cost-effective solutions for scalable direct air capture of carbon removal, entered into a memorandum of understanding with Aramco, one of the world’s leading global energy and chemicals companies, and has additionally announced that it received an equity investment in the company in November 2023, from Aramco Ventures.
