On October 10th, Buzzi hosted an event at their cement facility in Monselice, Italy, to present their pilot project and Nuada’s innovative carbon capture plant which has been in operation since June 2024.

Nuada announced the opening of its new state-of-the-art facilities in Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland. During the event, guests toured the premises, gaining first-hand insight into Nuada’s exciting achievements, ambitious growth plans and its mission to become a global leader in decarbonizing hard-to-abate industries such as cement and steel.

Nuada's pilot plant has commenced operations, capturing CO2 emissions from the stack of Buzzi Unicem’s cement facility in Monselice, Italy.

Industry leaders will collaborate with Nuada to evaluate its next-generation carbon capture technology as a solution to deliver low-carbon cement.

BGF, one of the largest and most experienced growth capital investors in the Uk and Ireland, has invested £3.4 million in Nuada, a UK-based company that is redefining the capture of carbon dioxide from foundational and hard-to-abate industries.

Nuada has been awarded a £666,525.00 grant from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero CCUS Innovation 2.0 programme to advance carbon capture in the Waste-to-Energy (WtE) industry.
