Wintershall Dea has entered a second CCS project in the United Kingdom. The company joins the ‘Poseidon’ CCS project after acquiring a ten per cent stake in the license from Carbon Catalyst.
Wintershall Dea has been awarded a new licence by the North Sea Transition Authority to store CO2 under the seabed. The Camelot licence’s annual storage potential is up to 6 million tonnes.
