The Gulf Coast Carbon Center is a research group with The University of Texas at Austin, Bureau of Economic Geology, with nearly 30 years experience. With rising interest and investment in CCS in the Gulf Coast, our Texas-Louisiana Carbon Management Community (TXLA CMC) strives to bridge the knowledge gap in CCS education while providing a platform for various stakeholders and interested parties to connect. Our mission is to improve the agricultural economy by developing new uses for biological materials. The Center focuses on post-harvest processing to produce renewable chemicals, polymers and fuels. We work closely with entrepreneurs and private industry from the initial stages of research to final production. Our goal is to develop bio-based products and processing techniques that enhance the agricultural economy.
