Optical Scientific manufactures the OFS series (optical flow sensors). OFS makes drift free flow measurements across the entire measurement path and is also isolated from the process so it won’t create a pressure drop on critical processes. OFS is unique because our patented technology is looking at fluctuations in light and thermal turbulence. OFS can be placed in areas other sensors cannot measure. OFS can be placed in areas with minimal pipe diameters typically two dimmers leading and one trailing. So the sensor can be used in areas weather other flow sensors cannot work. OFS measurement technique is also unaffected by and does not have to compensate for changes in temperature, pressure, gas density or gas concentrations. Truly a versatile technology when it comes to monitoring velocity, the OFS series has proven successful in a variety of challenging applications that include high temperatures, high and variable opacity and dust concentrations. Applications include, Carbon Capture flow, Flare Stacks, Thermal Oxidizers, wet scrubbers, carbon capture, incinerators, primary/secondary air ducts, bag houses or similar processes with entrained / suspended liquid droplets.
