Worley has been selected to design and evaluate CO2 gathering, handling and sequestration facilities located along the Gulf Coast in Southeast Texas. Bayou Bend CCS LLC is a joint venture owned by Chevron, Equinor, and TotalEnergies to develop a carbon capture and storage facility in Southeast Texas.
Anew Climate, LLC announced a marketing agreement with Summit Carbon Solutions. Under the terms of the agreement, Anew will market carbon dioxide (CO2) removal credits generated from Summit Carbon’s novel Biomass with Carbon Removal and Storage project, which is expected to capture and sequester more than 160 million tons of biogenic carbon dioxide emissions from 50+ biorefineries across the Midwestern United States over the next decade.
Climeworks starts operations of its to-date largest direct air capture and storage (DAC+S) plant, Mammoth, in Iceland. It is the second commercial DAC+S facility of Climeworks and is about ten times bigger than its predecessor plant, Orca.

CGG has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Baker Hughes to facilitate the parties exploring jointly offered carbon capture & storage (CCS) solutions. The collaboration and proposed commercial alliance intends to support the rapid increase of CCS projects that is underway by providing high-quality and fully integrated end-to-end solutions to screen, select, characterize and monitor potential carbon storage sites worldwide.
